This Ship is Going Down!

I am in this continuing state of wonderment that most people and institutions carry on as though the future is going to pretty much carry on as things have been in the past, perhaps with just a few uncomfortable waves rocking the ship.  Boy, a lot of people are in for a big surprise!

It is amazing to listen to the candidates from both sides making claims that they are going to solve problems which are so big that the real solutions would cause widespread civil unrest and blood in the streets.  Here is one of the most convincing reality checks I have seen to date!

It is good to hope for the best.  It makes us feel better.  Vote the new guy in and everything will be fine. Calm seas and nice sunny day!  Just take it easy and not worry so much…

If the clinical course remains stable, give 25 to 50 mg every third and subsequently every fourth week indefinitely. This protein helps to signal B cells to grow and multiply. Trial participants reported significantly increased treatment satisfaction and preference for CAB+RPV LA compared to daily oral therapies [ 21, 22] Levitra genérico 20 mg. Good luck on your own journey to a healthier, happier YOU.

But it is wise to plan for the worst, especially when all of the signs show that there is a huge storm on the horizon. The biggest storm ever!

I know it’s uncomfortable to talk about this stuff.  It’s not popular.  I don’t get many “likes” on these posts.

But warning the alarm bell for my friends is more important to me than being “liked!”  If I was captain of the ship, I would be yelling at you to get your butts in gear and get the lifeboats ready while the opportunity remains, even if it ruins your day. Because a huge storm is coming no matter who gets elected!

For sure!

This all adds up to the sensibility of setting aside some gold or silver, along with a stockpile of essentials, while paper money will still be accepted for it.

Gold is Getting Ready to Double?

Here is an interesting perspective on the future of gold that I personally have not seen before.  This (very qualified) guy is saying gold is going to a minimum of $3,500!  He suggests it could go much higher.

It wasn’t that long ago that we were doubting similar projections that gold would reach $1,000 per ounce, and here we are now at $1,700.  The thing is that it seems to take a long time for these things to happen; and then they happen really fast when the time comes.

Doubling the value (in dollars) for what we already have, and for what we can recover from our labor, would be a good thing for our industry, though my reason tells me it would reflect deteriorating circumstances in the larger economy.

BeachI base myself  in the Philippines during the winter months for several reasons.  The culture here is very friendly towards Americans, and nearly everyone is speaking some English.  The cost of living is quite low, despite the dollar’s drop from an exchange rate of 55 Pesos to 41 over the past five years.  For example, I live in a very comfortable 2-bedroom apartment in a quiet, gated, comfortable setting for about $150 per month.  Not bad!  The beaches here are fantastic!

It’s only around $100 from here to any of the other locations in Southeast Asia where I do a lot of my mining-related projects during the winter months.  Manilla is a main hub that will get me to anywhere else I need to go.

There is incredible gold down on the southern island of Mindanao; but that is just another one of those places where you can easily “lose your head” over gold.  Though that could all change in time, since one of the two significant Muslim separatist groups signed a peace treaty with the government here yesterday.  Meanwhile, I mainly use this as a comfortable place to live and manage my other responsibilities over the Internet between mining projects.

Another reason I like to live here is that every day is an adventure.  Just driving my car to the mall across town can be an extreme or terribly frustrating ordeal.  The rules of the road here are not the same as in America.  It took me a while to adjust. The answer is to never make any fast moves and always have lots of patience. After all, this is not my country. So now I just turn the music up loud and treat my drive across town like an action adventure, never in a hurry, always amazed at what can happen on the road.  I laugh a lot.  Sometimes I even get jolted into the realization that I am happy to be alive!

There are a lot of retired Americans and Australians over here, so there is a nice social scene, and also a comfortable night life for a single guy such as myself.  It’s a lot better than television!  I also have some Extreme Prospector buddies who have settled over here.

While there are plenty of benefits to living here, there is also the continuous struggle of coping with a different culture.  I have learned to balance things, mainly because I don’t attempt to do any serious business in the Philippines.   To give you an idea how things can go, here is an email I just received from one of my prospecting buddies who lives down south of me:

“Dave; I am making plans to return to the US in 2014 to prospect for gold and a rich woman who will volunteer to support me.

Why am I returning?  Because my questionable better half, Rose, went to see a healer a few days ago.  This healer is a person who does not have a medical degree, but heals people and dispenses medicine, this time in a bottle with a Gin label.  I believe Rose might have had a mild stroke and needed to go to the hospital.  But she insisted on going to the healer.

She returned home later with 3 Gin bottles stuffed with plant stems and leaves floating in a clear liquid.  The bottles are 120 Pesos each ($3).  Once she finishes these bottles, she has to go back over to this Muslim area and refill the order 3 more times.

I have to respect their customs but I am reaching my limit since I am an evolution-type thinker.  The person that went with her believes that Rose has rabies because of her bad headaches.  I asked Rose if she was bitten by a rabid dog.  Rose said she didn’t get bitten, but she did eat a dog that didn’t taste too good.  So she thinks she caught rabies.  I do not know what the healer gave Rose to cure her rabies.  But I sure hope it works!”

I just returned back to the Philippines from Bangkok.  It is nice to be back again in my normal routine.  We are getting hot, sunny weather here now.  It rained cats and dogs all 4 days that I was in Thailand.  I got caught out in it several times and got soaked.  My umbrella was not able to protect me from the heavy downpour bouncing off the ground.

The thing that amazes me about Southeast Asia is how fast the economy is moving.  I went to one of several huge shopping malls near where I live yesterday to buy some groceries.  The whole place was packed with thousands and thousands of shoppers.  It was the same way in the 3 different (huge) shopping malls I visited in Thailand earlier this week.  I’ll include an image, though the view through my camera lens did not capture the magnitude of the bustling economy.

One of the best ways to get a perception of how things are going, is to compare with other, similar situations.  All you need to do is visit the shopping centers in these other countries to realize there is definitely something very wrong with how America is being managed.  We need to look back before it is too late and figure out where we lost our way.  I addressed this in several chapters of Extreme Prospector.  I’d really like to hear your comments on my facebook page.

dredgeI have been asked to participate in a dredging program in a location that I am not allowed to disclose at the moment. I can only say that it is to the south of where I am presently located in the Philippines.

They say the location is a bit remote, meaning that everything needs to be packed in on foot.  They are camping out there, working about a week at a time before returning to town for supplies.

Check out the gold these guys are recovering!Gold

They say their biggest worry is over deadly-poisonous snakes which hang out around the water.  None of the guys have ever been bitten. So they must have some way of keeping the snakes at bay.

I hate snakes, even the kind that don’t bite.  But in this case, I might try and get over it!

I’ll be over in Bangkok next week signing the Special Edition versions of Extreme Prospector before shipping them off to Portland.  After that, I am thinking of going over to check out this dredging program.  Does anyone want to come along?  If so, let me hear from you on my face book page.

Boldly Into The Breach!

As many of you know, I have served as a Navy SEAL and continue to belong to the fraternity through the UDT-SEAL Association. This is all part of my DNA. It has been this longstanding relationship that fostered many of the foundations for my “extreme prospecting” activities, and also my unconventional way of looking at the world.

I have included just two of my personal Navy SEAL-era adventures in my new book, mainly because it is generally frowned upon by others in our community for individual SEALs to put themselves in the spotlight for doing things that most others do quietly and without any fanfare. My stories are there for the purpose of bringing to light what all SEALs are made of.

Complete cure in the efinaconazole groups were 18. You take the capsules once a day. Patients who were 60 years-old or younger were stratified to the transplant arm while patients older than 60 and younger than 75 years-old were stratified to the traditional chemotherapy arm lekarnabezpredpisu.com. Loratadine may be considered as an alternative for the treatment of allergy symptoms.

For the most part, you will not hear me talk much about the SEALs.  But every once in a while, something important comes up that needs to be talked about.  In this case, it has to do with the two SEALs (once you make it into the Teams, you are never an “ex-SEAL”) who got killed trying to defend our consulate in Libya several weeks ago.  Their names were Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods. Doherty & Woods

Contrary to what is being reported in the news, it turns out these two warriors were not assigned to the consulate security detail at all. They were not even in the consulate when the assault began.  They were in Libya on other business. When the attack on the consulate started, they heard all the noise from someplace else. Then they sprinted over to help defend in what became a two-hour pitched battle against overwhelming odds. The ambassador was already dead when they got there.

Taking weapons from the retreating security detail that was actually assigned to defend the consulate, these two extremely courageous men held the line against the attackers while twenty embassy staffers managed to get out alive.

You have to wonder what our brave men and woman are fighting for in these wars when they get hung out to dry by the highest levels of our own government, politicians who are more interested in their own political careers than telling the truth. Give me a break!

The heartbreaking  story, as it is presently known, can be found right here.  It makes interesting reading for those of you who care about this stuff.  If you click on the associated links, you will see uncomfortable images that are not being shown on television. It’s not pretty.

The bigger story will come out in time.  Why there was so little effective security in that place? Why was the advanced Intel about the coming attack completely ignored? Exactly how did Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods get killed?  Were they the only ones there fighting off the enemy? Why did the Ambassador’s personal bodyguard leave for safety while the Ambassador got killed and dragged through the streets by our enemies?  Why were CNN reporters picking up vital evidence in the compound just hours after the attack, while our FBI team was held back for three weeks for their own safety?  This is pretty disgraceful.

No matter how you look at it, this all adds up to a terrible sign of the times.  But it is better to know, than to be in the dark about what is happening in America.

I’m sorry to pass on “Extreme” and upsetting news, but there comes a time when we must sound the alarm.

America’s, and the world’s, liabilities have grown so dramatically that experts are now voicing there is zero chance of pulling ourselves out of it. We should all be preparing ourselves while there is still time.

The first section of this newsletter totally makes the case for gold.  I highly recommend you guys read it and plan accordingly!

I’d Hate to Lose my Head Over gold!

I received a request from another company in Sudan several days ago for consulting assistance.  It is the fifth company from Sudan so far that has asked for my sampling assistance. I gather they have a substantial gold rush going on there.   This article, while a little dated, explains what is going on in northern Sudan (besides all the bloodshed).  The potential for rich gold recovery is out of this world!

But the threat to Americans in Sudan has probably never been higher.  American officials put out a strong advisory just a few days ago for all Americans to avoid the country.

This can adversely affect patients with inherited (i. Pollard JA, Alonzo TA, Loken M, Gerbing RB, Ho PA, Bernstein ID, et al. Both telavancin and erythromycin have been associated with QT prolongation, while erythromycin is also associated with cases of TdP.

Doing something with this opportunity right now would take my Extreme Prospecting career beyond where I am willing to go at the moment.  It would be unwise to lose my head over golden riches (sorry, bad pun).  So I guess I’ll wait it out.

If anyone else wants to go, I can ask the clients if it is alright to forward your contact details.  If anyone is interested, just let me know.

Record-Breaking Gold Nugget Discovered on the Rogue River!

Check out this beautiful four-ounce gold nugget James and Denise McCarville discovered just a few weeks before the end of this year’s dredging season on the Rogue River in Southern Oregon.

James says he came close to missing the beautiful piece of gold altogether because it was initially covered by a thin film of mud.  The nugget was so large, it didn’t even occur to him that it was gold until he picked it up off the bottom of the river and felt the weight of it.  He says he is still coming to terms with the reality that he recovered such a large nugget of pure wealth.
